I wanted to have a real photoblog for a while, somewhere I could post bigger pictures. Since I was not really verbose on this blog, that the least you can say, unlike on the French version, it made sense to replace this by a real photoblog. I will probably be posting on the photoblog more often than what I have been doing here and it will be only pictures. Basically a photoblog... Anyways... That's it!

The Bowen power plant in Cartersville, GA.

This plant is a coal-fired power plant. In 1998, it was rated the worst emitter of toxic chemicals in the whole United States...

OK not really. But my camera is:-) A Rebel XT I might add... Since last week-end, I have been shouting with a new camera, Canon Rebel XT aka EOS 350D, 8 Megapixel DSLR:-)

Pictures posted those last few days were taken with it including these two of the big creek. I am not completely used to it, it is my first SLR after all, but as far as contrast, sharpness I am almost satisfied with this last picture above.
That's a great camera. 8Mp! That's a big upgrade for me (and a...argh....expensive one as well...).

The picture above almost cost me my two-day old new toy. Let's just say the creek side, mainly Georgia Red Clay, is very slippery, and that was very close!

The only thing that is missing is alligators! But even in Atlanta it seems winters are too cold for them...
