Synergy

How do you do when you have two computers, each of them running a different OS and a limited space for keyboards and mice on your desk? Finally, there is a solution called synergy.

Synergy lets you easily share a single mouse and keyboard between multiple computers with different operating systems, each with its own display, without special hardware. It's intended for users with multiple computers on their desk since each system uses its own monitor(s).

It is awesome. The mouse pointer just moves from a monitor to another when it hits the edge of the workspace, and the best thing is that copy and paste work across computers. No you are not dreaming, you can copy something on one computer and paste it on the other one one, running a different OS! Sweet, I know. On top of that it is free and opensource. It runs on TCP/IP so you just need the computers to be on the same network.
I am using synergy for a month to share a keyboard and a mouse between my Windows Me laptop and my Linux Fedora desktop. When I look at how little room I have left on my desk, I really wonder how I did before!
